The Town of Hideout, Utah to host the areas temporary fire station
Hideout, Utah will be providing Wasatch County’s first temporary fire station: The town of Hideout is providing funding for a temporary fire station, and held an event this past week to ask the community for donations for temporary Station 56. This location will help emergency vehicles cut 8-12 minutes off
SLCC South Salt Lake City Campus Updates Film Studio
Interior construction progresses (pictured right) as SLCC’s South Campus undergoes renovations to its sound stage and film production studio. The addition provides upgrades to electrical and mechanical systems, as well as improvements to technology, and acoustic treatments. Governor Spencer Cox visits Harris Community Village
Now complete and fully operational, Harris Community Village in Tooele, Utah, converted a former elementary school into a resource center and added an affordable housing component. The collaborative effort between Switchpoint, GIV Communities, Tooele City, and Tooele County offers a food pantry and dining space, childcare, counseling, and other support spaces.
The Gathering
The National Cowboy Poetry Gathering, know as the “Gathering,” is a mid-winter, multi-generational, celebration of artists, regional food, art, gear, film, discussions, dance, music, and verse, among other aspects of western life. The event traces its humble beginnings in back to1985, when a small group of folklorists and poets hosted a
