Interior Designer (Full or Part-Time)

ajc architects is seeking an Interior Designer to join our team.

This position would be responsible for supporting multiple interior design projects while coordinating and collaborating with design staff. Responsibilities would also include participating in project meetings, staying within client budget requirements and coordinating between team members, consultants, and clients throughout the entirety of a project.

Interior Designer preferred qualifications:

  • The ability to work with clients and facilitating communication between project team members
  • Meeting project deadlines and adhering to project schedules and budgets
  • Experience in REVIT, Bluebeam, Lumion, InDesign, and Sketch-up and other design software preferred

Project Architect | Project Manager Position

ajc architects is seeking a capable and creative professional with 6+ years of experience working in an architectural firm.   The candidate must possess the ability to efficiently and effectively lead projects, coordinate and work closely with consulting engineers and direct the project team.

Qualifications and Skill Set:

  • 6 + years of professional, team-oriented experience.
  • Revit skill-set required at a high proficiency.
  • Construction Administration experience with strong constructability/detail knowledge.

Architectural Quality Assurance Specialist

ajc architects is seeking a capable registered architect for the position of QA l QC Specialist. The QA l QC Specialist drives the quality of the execution of all ajc projects from a design and technical approach. This position is responsible for the level of work that is generated and in turn, shared with third-party GC’s performing the construction of these projects. This includes the management and keeping of ajc Design Standards and Design Guidelines. This also includes providing construction administration and technical detail support to all Architecture and Design teams within ajc architects. This individual must be forward thinking and have a great eye, excellent technical skills, management experience, detail orientation and comfortable with hands-on work.

 

TECHNICAL MANAGEMENT

  • Perform work which involves conventional practice, but may include a variety of complex features, such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials or procedures, or difficult coordination requirements.
  • Supervise the preparation of design and architectural plans, checks progress of design layouts, design documents and provides input to design schedules.
  • Review consultant work to ensure production of a complete set of coordinated and quality control verified construction documents in accordance with the Building Information Modeling (BIM) execution plan.
  • Serves as point of contact for all quality related questions.
  • Contribute to managing and maintaining ajc design standards and design guidelines.
  • Ability to independently solve problems.
  • Conduct employee training and mentoring activities, such as issuing regular quality tips and creating quality processes.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 8 – 10 years’ experience preferred
  • Must have the ability to work with a wide range of system applications and staff.
  • Quality Assurance experience preferred, a passion for details a must.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Strong multi-tasking and time-management skills and the ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Highly organized for self and team.
  • Excellent project management skills – ability to drive multiple projects and follow through seamlessly.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor or Master’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Licensure in the state of Utah is strongly preferred.

  • 7-10 years minimum of experience working on interior design projects
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture or interior design preferred
  • Experience working with clients and facilitating communication between project team members
  • Experience as a team leader in an interiors or architectural firm
  • Meeting project deadlines and adhering to project schedules and budgets
  • Proficiency in REVIT, Bluebeam, Lumion, InDesign, and Sketch-up and other design software preferred
  • Licensure (NCIDQ or registered architect) preferred
