Camp Colton, located outside of Flagstaff, Arizona, sits at an elevation of nearly 9,000 feet within an ecologically diverse and awe-inspiring setting where first through eighth grade students are exposed to nature and learn sustainable living practices.
A variety of programs focus on the regional environment through an increased understanding of science and nature provided by hands-on outdoor experiences.
Since Camp Colton’s environmental education program began in 1971 it has been an outdoor classroom enjoyed by over 47,000 children from across the area.
ajc’s team is excited to be working on the next two phases of improvements at Camp Colton, including a new lodge, which is scheduled to begin construction this fall.
