Big things are happening in Monticello, UT! The San Juan County Public Safety Building is gearing up for a major transformation — a phased construction project that will remodel and reconfigure 44,000 SF and add another 6,600 SF to the existing facility.

ajc is proud to partner with San Juan County once again, providing programming and design services to enhance functionality, improve space adjacencies, and create a more efficient, future-ready facility for the community.

Having completed the Feasibility Study back in 2021, our team already had a deep understanding of the building’s unique needs — from justice courts and judges’ chambers to law enforcement, community corrections, on-site corrections housing, and rehabilitation spaces.

This is a complex, multi-phased project that calls for close collaboration with department leaders and building users to keep operations running smoothly throughout construction. The result? A modernized facility that supports building users and the individuals who serve and protect San Juan County every day.
We can’t wait to share updates as this exciting project progresses!
