State of Utah Farmington Regional Center: Efficient, Welcoming, Connected!
Set between the Great Salt Lake and the Wasatch Mountains, the new Farmington Regional Center state office building will soon become home to the Department of Motor Vehicles, Driver License Division, Department of Health and Human Services, and the Department of Workforce Services—all under one roof.
Drawing from the region’s natural beauty and architectural roots, the design features locally inspired materials like brick and stone, paired with clean modern lines and energy-conscious systems. At the heart of the project is a vibrant outdoor plaza designed to bring people together. Whether it’s a quick break or lunch from a local food truck, the space invites daily use and community gathering. Public art will be thoughtfully integrated into the plaza, creating a deeper connection to place and adding meaning to the shared environment.
Guided by principles of efficiency, inclusivity, and connection to place, this civic hub is more than a building.
Efficient – maximizing functionality while minimizing environmental impact.
Welcoming – creating spaces that feel open and accessible.
Connected – panoramic mountain views, sunlit interiors, and a vibrant public plaza for gatherings.
