Big things are happening in Salem with the recent grand opening of their new fire and EMS station!
Salem City Mayor Kurt Christensen didn’t hold back when he called their brand-new fire station “the best in the state” — and it’s easy to see why. At 21,777 square feet, this impressive facility isn’t just built for today’s needs but for Salem’s booming future. This station is a bold investment in public safety and smart city planning.
The new station is a game-changer. From a garage that easily fits multiple fire engines, brush trucks, and ambulances — with room for a ladder truck, as needed — to full living quarters for future full-time crews. Firefighters can enjoy private dorm rooms, a weight room, a private internal courtyard, and a kitchen designed for social interaction. The main training space will serve as an educational space for the city and is designed for function as an Emergency Operations Center when needed.
The City and design team worked diligently to create station that reflects the spirit of Salem: grounded in tradition and reaching for the future. Huge kudos to City and all stakeholders for bringing the new fire station to the community. ajc is deeply grateful to have been selected to design the new facility. We thank Salem City, Owner’s Rep NVGTE, our entire consultant team, and Warner & Associates Construction for helping to bring the City’s vision to life.
