November was an active month for ribbon cutting ceremonies which now provide the communities of Salt Lake City and Tooele with over 120 new permanent supportive housing units. Prominent community leaders and key project stakeholders were on hand to officially open both of the new facilities.

The Community Development Corporation of Utah and the Redevelopment Agency of Salt Lake City, along with several partners, and funding entities are responsible for Richmond Flats. Harris Community Village and Resource Center represents a collaborative effort between GIV Communities, Tooele City, other prominent stakeholders, and funding partners. This project houses and supports those experiencing homelessness in Tooele County.

Both projects benefited from a HUD sponsored Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC), which incentivizes affordable housing projects across the country.

ajc feels privileged to have had the opportunity to collaborate with each stakeholder on the vision and design of these housing projects.
