This niche hospitality project will utilize an existing 3-story building, with a penthouse located in the center of the Great Basin region of the American West. Its history is derived from cowboy pioneering where the hotel’s current owners exemplify these traits by making it their mission to spread the culture of the American West through story and cultural expression.
Each year, the existing Center hosts a gathering which draws the attention of nearly eight thousand visitors along with cowboys, cowgirls, singers, poets, story tellers, musicians and artists along with all others interested in western culture. The Center is looking to restore the building back into a functioning hotel, all while maintaining the integrity and history of the existing structure.
The driving force of the Center, in this restoration project, is to enhance its mission by providing guests and community members with an authentic and historical western cultural experience. The following five key words provide the foundational values and vision for the project: Rooted, authentic, gathering, generation, and poetic.
