Alan was born and raised in the mountains of North Idaho. He spent his childhood outdoors learning from and interacting with mother nature. His attraction to our natural environment, along with the promise of ‘the greatest snow on earth,’ eventually led him to Salt Lake City.
During his first stint in Utah, Alan earned his Associate’s of Architectural Technology at SLCC and his Bachelor’s of Science of Architectural Studies at the University of Utah. Alan’s undegraduate studies rooted him with a deep passion for design and an eagerness to learn more. He then went on to earn his Master’s of Architecture Degree, specializing in Urban Architecture and Urban Design from the University of Oregon (Portland Campus). After completing his Master’s Degree, Alan felt it was time to return to Salt Lake City and practice architecture.
