ajc is part of a design-build team contracted by UTA to expand the existing Timpanogos Bus Maintenance and Operations Facility to accommodate additional bus capacity, facilities, parking and personnel. UTA is the primary public transit provider in Salt Lake, Utah, Davis, Weber, Box Elder and Tooele Counties, covering 1,400 square miles. UTA currently provides fixed route bus service from four maintenance and operations facilities. One of those facilities is Timpanogos which is located in Orem, Utah. As their various fleets grow to respond to area population growth and service changes, UTA engaged ajc architects to ensure that support facilities are adequate to meet current and future needs in a fiscally responsible manner. ajc provided site assessment, campus master planning, space planning and programming, full design services, including code review and permitting and construction administration services to support the success of UTA’s Timpanogos Bus Rapid Transit program in Utah County.
