With over 150 acres of gardens, walking paths and a natural area with hiking trails, Red Butte Garden is the largest botanical center in the Intermountain West. The Center also tests and displays regional horticulture. ajc’s planning and design services included consolidation of existing Master Planning documents, developing a macro program, and creating design guidelines for the visitor center, education center, administration building, and other site features. Future development will follow the principle of transition between the urban and garden environment, creating a threshold experience to emphasize the connection between plants and people.
