Principal Architect, AIA, LEED AP
ajc is proud to announce the promotion of Justin K. Heppler to partner at ajc architects. With a Master’s degree in Architecture from the University of Utah and over 13 years practicing architecture, Justin brings enthusiasm, determination and a fresh perspective to ajc. Justin has fostered numerous relationships with local developers and continues to build clients in the multi-family residential and mixed-use market sector.
Justin also just happens to be an excellent architect with an eye for context sensitive design. Clients tend to gravitate towards his straightforward manner and knack for open and collaborative design dialogue.
Justin became an architect to realize his vision for better communities through the built environment. Justin set a goal to become an architect at a young age, having a natural interest in how buildings shape and create neighborhoods and communities. This early ambition has translated into an engaged and aware practice. Through early conversations, tours and time spent with his clients, Justin listens and learns about the people that will be utilizing his buildings. This ‘first person’ knowledge then guides his design and allows him to create spaces that consistently exceed client expectations, and positively contribute to the communities they serve.
Over the course of his career, Justin has had the opportunity to oversee a number of local and regional landmark projects. He has especially enjoyed working on projects associated with higher education and multi-family mixed-use. Justin is currently working on several multi-family, mixed-use projects which focus on a strong sense of ‘place’ which compliments the fabric of local neighborhoods. He is also highly aware of how a building contributes directly to users and the communities they serve.
