Mesa Verde Cultural Center Master Plan
National Park Service
Mesa Verde National Park needed a unified vision to communicate the history and archeology of the four-corners area to Park visitors. The need for curatorial facilities was particularly critical. The scope of our study included macro-programming, master planning concept options, design guidelines, and construction budget estimates for potential growth. Sustainable design concepts were also a focus of discussion. As Mesa Verde is classified as a World Heritage Site, and because of the unique nature of the surrounding landscape, a Silver of Gold level in the LEED standard was selected as the goal.
