The Summit Center Retail Space
The objective of the site design was to create both a sense of community through unified elements and a strong relationship with the environment, with which it must coexist. The primary objective of the exterior building design was to establish a sense of continuity while creating interest through an expanded vocabulary of architectural building elements. It is the design intent to establish a connection of rural structures with modern elements. The use of varying types of gable and shed roofing systems with differing roof heights and subtle variation of building wall materials breaks down massing and establishes appropriate scale.
