The International Interior Design Association, Intermountain Chapter selects Scalar Anlytics as 2017’s BEST project under 15,000 square feet.
The annual IIDA Awards are presented to regional projects which exhibit “Brilliantly Executed Spaces and Thinking.”
The goal of the Scalar space was to achieve a black/white modern, minimalist space accented with natural wood finishes. Exposed steel trusses add visual interest and make the open office area a feature unto itself. Private offices showcase metal-framed glass expanses, that add a custom touch, and provide natural light and unobstructed views throughout. The furniture maintains a minimal aesthetic with butcher block tops and black leather chairs. With these creative design improvements, the ajc team was able to move as far away from the original dark, confined space as possible. The design outcome exudes a modern, minimalist space the client was looking for, with a nod to the bones of the original building.
